English version, it has bracketed explanatory words and phrases
following places in the text where difficulty might arise and footnotes
to explain more complicated passages.
The Message: A
popular contemporary paraphrase translation using today's language and
some slang to relay the good news of the Gospel and Bible.
English Standard Version (ESV):
This version follows in the traditional English translations. It is an
essentially literal translation that seeks as far as possible to
capture the precise wording of the original text, while at the same
time taking into account the differences in grammar, syntax and idiom
between English and the original languages.
